M9 Stompbox Modeler is powerful, portable and bursting with immortal stompbox effects. Its wide variety of vintage and modern tones makes it perfect on its own or an unrivalled addition to your pedal board.
Sink your teeth into over 100 distinctive distortions, tangy choruses, syrupy sweet reverbs, and many other kinds of expressive effects. They combine under your feet to form an instant collection of stunning stompbox tones (many of which are from DL4 Delay Modeler, Verbzilla and other well-known Line 6 pedals).
Built like three side-by-side effect units, M9 Stompbox Modeler lets you run any three effects simultaneously with any three others on deck. Mix and match as you please. You have 100% control over effect placement and effect type - arrange them into tried-and-true combinations or get creative and invent your own original blends.
Create up to twenty-four different effect arrangements, or "scenes" one for your metal band, one for your Top 40 gig...you get the picture. No more tearing up Velcro just to switch out one or two pedals!
Included is a 28-second looper that provides the most fun you can have without getting arrested. It delivers extended, in-the-moment sound-on-sound looping and unlimited sonic possibilities. Six dedicated footswitches (Record/Overdub, Play/Stop, Play Once, Undo/Redo, Half Speed and Reverse) make it a snap to use.
M9 Stompbox Modeler is stompbox simple. There are no menus, no saving and no hassles. Tweak your tones on the fly using the dedicated knobs and, just like with classic stompboxes, your settings will remain after you power down.
Stocked with inputs and outputs, M9 Stompbox Modeler will integrate seamlessly into your pedal board, your MIDI setup and all your live, studio and rehearsal scenarios. It boasts MIDI in and out, a pair of 1/4-inch expression pedal inputs and 1/4-inch mono/stereo inputs and outputs (with true analog bypass or DSP bypass).
Tough as nails, easy to use and ready to go, toss M9 Stompbox Modeler into your gig bag to take advantage of the all-in-one stompbox solution.

Mmmmm, the others saying that the O/D's and distortions sounding weak or thin? I just EQ them and no problems. I find I am always tweaking anyways, weather its the room, the amp, the guitar etc. Just too bad you can only use it either Pre or Post, and not both. That's why a 4.5 on features. Owning both a HX and this I can honestly say I like them both for the great effects. You would need 20 pedal boards full of pedals, and a herd of tap dancing Octopuses to keep up with these things. Great addition to your board and I use mine for pre effects with post Verbs and Delays. Btw as a side note.... I had it for sale and was building another board and using it for a delay until the one I bought arrived, and I was fooling around with different effects and what-not, and thought Whaaat!!, this thing is awesome.

This rig is mixed, the drives and filters are not good but the delays, mods, and reverbs and pretty good. I found enough good sounding effects to be satisfied with the investment, though not a cheap one.
If I were looking for quality effects these days, I would probably spend the extra money and get a Helix, whether it be the big boy or one of the smaller models.

When I read that people are replacing entire pedalboards with this, I was shocked at how comfortable with bad drive tones people were. On the flipside, it's absolutely fantastic for anything delay, mod, or verb. The looper is really great too! Replace the whole board? No. Makes for a great FX loop section though.

My only regret is not getting the M13. I honestly use my M9 pedal a ton! it is my most used pedal. if I could do it all over I would get the M13 with an expression pedal rather than having so many pedals on my board.

I really like this pedal but we haven't fallen in love yet. I like the modulation and delay effects. I love how you can sync them all with one tap button. I also love how it can clean up a pedalboard. But I'm having a hard time finding the same sounds from analog pedals. The AC power supply is a bit of a pain as well.
I'm torn if I'm going to keep it. It has so much (tuner, looper, tap tempo, a plethora of effects, easy to use) but I feel I need a bit more

I wanted to replace my messy pedal-board with this. This let me down tremendously. Line 6 should have stayed away from the distortions. It feels like a huge chunk of the pedal is missing because of these distortion modelers. I am returning this immediately. My individual pedals sound better. The Flange's sound weak in this pedal. The overall sound is thin and toy-like. I suggest investing in 4 or 5 good analog pedals.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
- Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemednecessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
- Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
- No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
- Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
- Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
- Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
- Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
- Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
- Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
- NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
- USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
- GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
- BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
This product is normally available for rental. Please contact your preferred location for further information.

Is line 6 a good brand? ›Line 6 has a reputation for making amps that do not sound good. Many players reported that they couldn't make a good tone out of Line 6 amps or that it didn't cut through the mix. Line 6 also gets a lot of hate because they're reportedly not easy to use.
